Applied Cybernetics Professional Experience Placement gives the student exposure to applying approaches and skills learned in CYBN6001, CYBN6002, and CYBN8001 in a professional environment. Students will be embedded within an industry, community, government, start-up or academic organisation as a practitioner of Applied Cybernetics to contribute to a project related to cybernetic systems.

Students are expected to attend the professional practice placement for an equivalent of 7 hours per day for 20 days. Work Integrated Learning Placements This course provides students with work-based experience of the conceptual and practical approaches of Applied Cybernetics. They will become practitioners of Applied Cybernetics who can carefully examine new and emerging technological systems, the building blocks they are made from, and the questions they raise for human society and our ecosystems.
