Research School of Management · ANU College of Business and Economics
This course introduces a structured framework for evidence-informed decision-making that increases decision quality and integrity by drawing on multiple sources of critically appraised information. Having a structured and repeatable approach to complex decisions enables integrity and has a number of important work-related outcomes, including improved leader-member relationships, and trust-based relationships with stakeholders and citizens. It helps leaders to avoid untrustworthy information and advice coming from inside and outside the organisation, and to engage in purposive inquiry with rigour. This is a foundational course for other courses in the Master of Business Administration (MBUSA).
Typical assessments may include, but is not restricted to: in-class exercises, written and oral assignments, quizzes, examinations, group project tasks, oral presentation, and other assessment deemed appropriate to show attainment of the learning outcomes set for the course.
